ABOUT OUR DOCTORS
Dr. Chris Plumley
Dr. Chris Plumley acquired his BS (1999 with honors) and DVM (2002) degrees from the University of Tennessee before coming to work for Dr. Walter Knight at the Whitefield Animal Hospital directly out of veterinary school. He worked as a staff veterinarian for 5 years before acquiring the practice from Dr. Knight in early 2007. His professional interests include diagnostic radiology, surgery, and client education. He is an avid Boston Red Sox fan and most clients can easily recognize him as “the vet in the Red Sox cap.”
DR. NANCY LEFAVOUR
Dr. Nancy Lefavour acquired her DVM degree from Tufts University in 2008 and joined the Whitefield Animal Hospital family in 2009 after interning with us the year before. She has been a full-time staff veterinarian at WAH for over 5 years now. She is widely known for her gentle, caring nature and her warm smile. Humble to a fault, Dr. Chris describes her as “truly one of the most brilliant clincians I’ve ever had the privilege of working with.” Always diligent to provide the most comprehensive in patient care, Dr. Nancy has quickly become a favorite of many WAH clients.
Dr. Doug Donovan
Dr. Doug Donovan acquired his BS (1997) from the University of New Hampshire, Ph.D. from South Dakota State University (2002), and veterinary degree from the Royal Veterinary College (2015). After a brief time in the feed industry, Doug joined the Whitefield Animal Hospital in June 2017. Doug conducted work experience during the summer fo 2015 at the Whitefield Animal Hospital. His professional interests include nutrition, immunology and client education. After growing up in Northern New Hampshire, he is happy to be back in the area. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family.
